May 2019 – Pete Gentle, P.E., has joined Envision Consultants, Ltd. (Envision) as its new Rail & Transit Program Manager.

As such, Pete is Program Manager for Envision’s FTA Project Management Oversight Contract on Major Capital Programs, and is responsible for enhancing the firm’s Program Management services in the Rail & Transit sector. He will collaborate closely with Envision’s management team to cultivate new client relationships, recruit and train staff, and identify additional strategic growth opportunities.

Pete’s diverse career spans more than 45 years. He has worked on all forms of transportation projects, bridges and highways. These projects include mass transit, freight rail, major bridges, historical bridges and highways. Peter also has Rail & Transit Operating and Maintenance experience, having previously served for 16 years as the Director of Way and Power and Assistant General Manager of Engineering and Maintenance for the Delaware River Port Authority’s PATCO Speedline, a high-speed rail line that connects southern New Jersey with Philadelphia.

Pete is a licensed Professional Engineer registered in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He earned a B.S. and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Villanova University. He is a member of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA).
