“How Envision took P6 Into the Cloud” presented by Anthony Duca

January 17, 2019

January 2019 – Anthony Duca, PMP  presented at the DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia Airport on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. Hosted by AACEI’s Delaware Valley Section, this presentation reflected the path taken by Envision between 2008 to 2018 to migrate the P6 database to a Cloud environment.

“The success of our migration of P6 to the Oracle Cloud could not have been achieved without the input and approval of Envision’s President and CEO, Victoria Malaszecki, which was given once the potential costs and benefits of the migration were demonstrated and understood.”

Anthony Duca, PMP, Project Control Manager / Scheduler

Envision Team Quotes on Cloud Migration:

“Migrating to P6 Cloud was one of the best company decisions in the 6 years I’ve been here. The uncertainty of when the server would go down was nerve-wracking because I knew restoring the database backup was an all-day effort, negatively impacting both employees and clients. It was a headache that appeared to visit us during the most inopportune times. Life is simply easier with that responsibility removed and in the hands of experts.”

Kevin Narvaez, IT Services Manager

“Having worked with Primavera software for over thirty years switching to the Oracle cloud has been a major benefit with minimizing downtime and overall maintenance.  The cloud helps us with our overall management of projects along with being able to share data and files with all of the schedulers when there is a work overload at any given time.”

Steve Malaszecki, Executive Vice President

“Using P6 in the cloud has been as easy or easier than our previous use of P6 on our own server.  The migration was seamless and there has been no issues with speed, connection or data integrity.”

Bruce E. Betz CCM, PSP, Senior Scheduler/Claims Consultant

“I frequently have to work out of the office and the speed and reliability of P6 had been an issue. Since moving to the Oracle cloud the functionality of the software remotely is the same as it is in the office.”

Paul Rudderow, Senior Scheduler / Claims Consultant
