Amtrak, Stations & Facilities State of Good Repair Assessments

Amtrak, Stations & Facilities State of Good Repair Assessments

Project Overview

As part of Amtrak Facilities Standards Policies, each of its facilities must be inspected every five years to assess the integrity and State of Good Repair (SOGR) of the building envelope and systems. These assessments are also done to verify compliance with current codes. Amtrak facilities include buildings, sheds, canopies, platforms, and other work areas that support railroad operations. Bridges, tunnels, track, electric traction, communication and signals infrastructure are excluded from this endeavor.

Envision’s staff performed cost estimating services for the Amtrak Southern Division Station Assessment project. Individually prioritized CSI estimates were prepared for 30 stations and yards.
