New Jersey Turnpike Authority, Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension

New Jersey Turnpike Authority, Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension

Project Overview

Originally built in the 1950’s, the Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension is one of the three main arteries from New Jersey into New York City. The New Jersey Turnpike Authority is rehabilitating a 1.1-mile section of the elevated roadway. Now in its second phase, reconstruction of the bridge deck and structural improvements are in the works. Improvements to ramps will follow, all while traffic continues to use one lane in each direction on the roadway.

Envision is providing public outreach, GIS, CPM scheduling, and construction schedule review and analysis services for the project. Outreach and graphic design services include the creation and management of a project website, toll-free hotline, email address, and fact sheet.
