Pennsylvania Convention Center Expansion Project Design & Construction Management

Project Overview

The expansion of the Pennsylvania Convention Center in center city Philadelphia will increase meeting and exhibit space by nearly 60 percent, allowing two major conventions to be held simultaneously. The expanded Convention Center will have 1 million square feet of saleable space, the largest contiguous exhibit space in the Northeast (541,000 square feet) and the largest convention center ballroom on the East Coast (60,000 square feet). The economic impact is expected to result in more than $140 million annually and 2,000 hospitality-related jobs.

Envision served as a sub-consultant to Perks Reutter Associates and then Tishman. In this capacity, Envision was responsible for establishing the project controls system for the Pennsylvania Convention Center Expansion Project which included Primavera 5.0 and Contract Management. During the course of the project and the transition from Design to Construction, Envision was tasked with upgrading the software to incorporate the latest versions of Primavera 6.0 and Contract Management 12.0. Envision was also responsible for the customization and integration of the upgraded project management software.
