New Jersey Turnpike Authority Interchange 8

New Jersey Turnpike Authority Interchange 8

Project Overview

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) is engaged in a highway improvement program to modify four major interchanges and expand the turnpike from six to twelve lanes between milepost 48 and milepost 74, and from ten to twelve lanes from milepost 74 to milepost 83. One hundred and seventy lane miles will be added to the turnpike system.

The program extends through eleven communities in three counties of central New Jersey. The scope of the project encompassed many complex environmental challenges, including mitigating major damages to wetlands and designing to comply with new, stringent storm-water management regulations.

Interchange 8 in East Windsor encompasses a new toll plaza and Milton Road improvements along with grading, drainage and structures improvements. Envision serves as a subconsultant to HNTB and was responsible for CPM Scheduling services.  Envision reviewed and approved the contractor’s baseline schedule and the review of subsequent monthly updates to the baseline schedule.
