Summary/Objective
The Project Accountant is required to prepare monthly project invoices in Deltek Costpoint ERP system, ensure that the invoice format meets current contract specifications, and submit to the client on a monthly basis upon project manager approval. Other responsibilities include preparing, monitoring, and analyzing project budget reports, and working directly with project managers on the Costpoint material.
Essential Functions
- Monitor current project budgets per Direct Labor, OH, and Fixed Fee ceilings.
- Submit monthly billing register, Detailed hours report, and Revenue Computation to supervisor for approval.
- Print & submit monthly GL reports for accounts such as Billed Receivables, Unbilled (WIP), and Unbilled Retainage for Balance Sheet QA/QC.
- Prepare a project invoice form for each new contract including but not limited to billing rates, invoicing format, identify direct labor budgets, classifications, Overhead terms, annual escalation rates, and expenses direct but not reimbursable to the project when necessary.
- Document financial contract changes in Deltek Costpoint ERP, agency excel reports, and ensure that all contract documents are filed properly when necessary.
- Manage subcontractor budgets and expenses when necessary.
- Assist in the implementation of Accounts Receivable Statements per client and per project.
- Year-end review and closing activities including reconciliations of general ledger accounts, specifically overhead audit.

Preferred Education and Experience
- 3 to 5 years of Accounts Receivable experience
- Work experience in one of the following industries: Architecture, Engineering, Construction
- Experience using financial accounting software and ability to understand workflow within an ERP system
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline-oriented
Position Type
This is a full-time position.
Travel
Ability to travel to Envision’s offices.
