Project Overview
This project at the Philadelphia International Airport consisted of a new multi-level connector building between Terminals D and E, a 50,000 square foot addition to the Terminal E concourse, a 9000 square foot connector building between Baggage Claims D and E, and various renovations to areas within the two terminals and the adjacent Satellite Thermal Plant.
Phases 1A and 1B are the new multi-level connector building between Terminals D and E. The first level houses an Explosive Detection System (EDS) to be operated by the TSA as part of an in-line baggage screening system. The second level is a 14-lane passenger security screening area serving both terminals. The third level houses Division of Aviation offices and has a space for an airline club. Phase 2 modifications includes an increase of 23 ticket counter positions with larger queuing spaces, increased public circulation, new concessions, other tenant spaces and work associated with the D and E Bag Claim facilities. Terminal E Concourse were expanded in Phase 3 of the project with the construction of a 2-level addition at the end of the concourse.
Envision served as a sub-consultant to Carr & Duff, the Electrical Contractor. Envision is providing Cost Estimating and CPM Scheduling services; including the development of the baseline schedule with follow-up monthly progress updates to the baseline schedule.
