City of Philadelphia, House of Corrections Parking Lot Reconstruction

City of Philadelphia, House of Corrections Parking Lot Reconstruction

Project Overview

Envision helped with the design of a new parking lot on the site of an existing parking lot and adjacent undeveloped land at the City of Philadelphia’s House of Correction, located at the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Prison Facility.

The existing parking lot is made up of a macadam/asphalt paved area of 116 parking spaces and a gravel and dirt area which has no line striping for parking spaces. The new parking lot accommodates approximately 333 parking spaces. In order to meet ADA parking requirements, eight of the spaces will be ADA.  In order to meet the post-construction stormwater management requirements, a new underground stormwater management infiltration basin was also proposed.

Envision was responsible for the formal detailed construction cost estimate during the design development phase, along with the project schedule. At the time of Final Design, Envision prepared a final construction cost estimate and construction phase schedule. During Construction, Envision performed monthly CPM schedule reviews and analysis.
