City of Philadelphia, Department of Public Property, House of Corrections New Parking Lot

Project Overview
Envision supported the design of a new parking lot adjacent to undeveloped land at the City of Philadelphia’s House of Corrections located at the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Prison Facility.
The existing parking lot is made up of a macadam/asphalt paved area of 116 parking spaces and a gravel and dirt area which has no line striping for parking spaces. The newly designed parking lot will accommodate up to approximately 333 parking spaces and provide improved storm water management, accessibility, site lighting, landscaping, and site surveillance. In order to meet ADA parking requirements, eight of the spaces will also be ADA accessible. In order to meet the post-construction stormwater management requirements, a new underground stormwater basin was also proposed.
Envision is responsible for design estimating, cost estimating and CPM scheduling services based on interim project documentation issues in order to determine overall project duration and any necessary interim milestones. Envision’s scheduling services include a detailed thorough understanding of the pre-construction and construction efforts to provide an accurate forecast for interim and overall project completion dates.
