July 31, 2026 – Learning has been part of Envision’s foundation since the beginning, shaping the way the firm develops talent and supports the next generation of professionals. Our internship program reflects that approach by giving interns the opportunity to contribute to real projects, work alongside experienced professionals, and gain exposure to the AEC industry. More than an introduction to the workplace, the program provides a foundation for growth while helping students build the confidence needed to begin their careers.

In celebration of National Intern Day, we recognize team members who began their careers as Envision interns and have continued to grow into roles where they make an impact every day. Their stories highlight how early opportunities, mentorship, and hands-on experience can shape the path ahead.

Trevor Malaszecki joined Envision as a Project Management Intern in 2019 and transitioned into a full-time role in 2020. Today, as Vice President of Operations, he provides leadership across the organization, guiding daily operations and fostering the collaborative culture that has supported his own growth at the firm.

Natalie Reed, SHRM-CP, began her Envision journey as a Data Technician Intern in 2020 and joined the firm full-time in 2021. Her broad experience within the firm has given her a well-rounded perspective as Human Resources Manager, where she supports the resources and initiatives that help team members grow in their careers.

Andrew Paolin, Project Analyst, joined the firm as an intern and helped shape the Project Analyst role into a valuable function within the organization after joining full-time in 2022. His experience reflects how interns are encouraged to contribute ideas and take ownership of meaningful work.

“Envision cultivated the Project Analyst position rather than filling a pre-established one, which was awesome,” Andrew shared. “Beyond my internship, Envision has been a great experience as a first full-time job with plenty of people willing to share what they know.”

For John Malaszecki, the internship experience provided the foundation and confidence to grow professionally. After completing three internship terms while attending Rowan University, John transitioned into a full-time Project Controls Engineer role in 2024 and now supports transportation and infrastructure programs throughout the region.

“My journey at Envision has been one of continuous learning, where the opportunities I received as an intern prepared me to contribute with confidence as a project controls professional,” John said.

Mentorship and the support of experienced colleagues also played an important role in the journeys of Anthony Paolin, Ryan Ostrowski, and Isabella Battaglia. Anthony joined Envision with limited exposure to the construction industry and credits his internship experience with helping him develop the skills and knowledge needed to transition into his current role as Scheduler.

“When joining Envision [in 2023], I had little knowledge of the construction industry,” Anthony commented. “My internship was focused on processes, effective communication, organizational skills, and time management. The team around me aided in preparing me for full-time employment and eventually managing clients and deliverables of my own.”

Ryan Ostrowski, EIT, now a Project Engineer after starting full-time last summer, began his career as a Project Controls Intern while attending Rowan University. Through his internship, Ryan learned the value of asking questions, seeking feedback, and embracing opportunities to grow, lessons that continue to shape his work today.

“Starting as an intern taught me the importance of asking questions, seeking feedback, and learning from those around me,” Ryan said. “As a professional, I continue to grow by applying those same principles to every project and embracing new opportunities to develop my skills.”

For Isabella Battaglia, Marketing Coordinator, the internship experience helped bridge the gap between the classroom and the workplace. After beginning her Envision journey as a Marketing Intern in 2024, Isabella continued with the firm in a full-time role in 2025, where she now supports its marketing and proposal efforts. “My internship helped me bridge the gap between the classroom and workplace by turning knowledge into real-world experience,” Isabella shared.

The stories of these team members demonstrate that an internship at Envision is more than a temporary opportunity. It is a chance to gain real-world experience, build confidence, and lay the foundation for a successful career. While each internship eventually comes to an end, for many former interns, it has marked the beginning of a rewarding career at Envision.
