Delaware River Port Authority, Betsy Ross Bridge and Commodore Barry Bridge Air-Blown Fiber Optic Installations

Project Overview

This Air-Blown Fiber Optic Installations project for the Betsy Ross Bridge (BRB) and Commodore Barry Bridge (CBB) included all work required for the procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of two (2) fiber-optic communications systems, one (1) across the Betsy Ross Bridge (BRB) and one (1) across the Commodore Barry Bridge (CBB).

The CBB fiber-optic communications system provides communications infrastructure from the CBB administration building in Bridgeport, NJ to the new communications hut  installed under this project in Chester, PA, and at each gantry structure on the bridge. The work included the installation, testing, and commissioning of all related equipment, conduit, cabling, fiber, and terminations, as well as all required maintenance and protection of traffic.
