Amtrak, Intercity Trainset Replacement Facilities (ICT) Program

Project Overview

Amtrak is designing and constructing new facilities to support the acquisition of New Intercity Trainsets at various locations throughout its regional system. These facilities will be developed on existing infrastructure and must be designed and constructed to accommodate Amtrak’s current and future fleet needs.

The Intercity Trainset Facilities Program is a critical infrastructure element for Amtrak, enabling the inspection, servicing, crew onboarding and maintenance of a future trainset fleet that is currently being procured. The site analysis and planning will be performed for various trainset facilities locations including, but not limited to, the following locations:

• ICT Portland Union Station, OR
• Ivy City, Washington, DC
• Penn Coach Yard, Philadelphia, PA
• Seattle ICT Facility, WA
• Southampton Street Yard, Boston, MA
• Sunnyside Yard, New York, NY

Envision is providing design/construction cost estimating and construction scheduling for Amtrak’s ICT Program.
