Project Overview

The NJTA’s Superstructure Replacement and Widening of Bridge No. 158.2, GSP Bridge over Passaic River, US Route 46, and River Drive project consists of the replacement of the existing superstructure with a widened superstructure. Bridge No. 158.2 is a 960-foot-long structure that carries three southbound and three northbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway.
The widened roadway will consist of three 12-foot lanes,12-foot right shoulders and 5-foot left shoulders. The substructure will be modified to support the widened substructure. The new superstructure and modified substructure will incorporate a new HPC concrete, parapet and median barrier, replacement of substructure steel girders, new seismic isolation bearings, new under-bridge lighting, repairs and modifications to the existing abutments and piers to accommodate the wider super structure, 2,750 linear feet of new MSE retaining walls, widening of the north and south approaches, construction of temporary roadway crossovers to allow southbound traffic to be carried on the new temporary bridge, and northbound traffic to be carried by existing southbound portion of the structure, temporary and relocated local roadway and ramp improvements, drainage improvements, foundations including spread footings, micro-piles and temporary pipe piles.
Envision is providing CPM scheduling services. Specifically, Envision is responsible for review of the baseline schedule, review of the follow-up monthly progress updates to the baseline schedule and reporting of progress and technical modifications that were not included within the update narrative. Forensic analysis of all technical changes is accomplished through the use of Deltek Acumen analytical software.
