Project Overview

Envision provided technology services, application testing, and development of training material, for the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Innovation and Technology.

The Service Oriented – Tier system architecture (SOA) that will provide the flexibility, scalability, and interoperability needed to meet current requirements and future phases of the GPIS system. The solution will incorporate web services (an API) that encapsulate specific core Streets Department business processes and will reduce future system development, system integration, and maintenance costs. The solution will consist of two different applications: the GPIS web application and the GPIS Windows Service. Both of these applications will call the web services developed on top of the SQL Server database and GIS Server.
