WMATA, PMCM and Engineering Support Services, IDIQ Contract

Project Overview

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), commonly referred to as Metro, is a tri-jurisdictional government agency that operates transit service in the Washington metropolitan area. This Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract is intended to provide services in support of transit related program management/construction management (PM/CM) and engineering support services in support of WMATA’s transit system.

As part of this PM/CM IDIQ contract, WMATA has implemented new management initiatives and programs to address safety. One primary area is WMATA’s Remote Terminal Units (RTU), mostly within the train control rooms, handling multiple inputs. The project’s intent is to replace all legacy RTU’s across the various lines, excluding the much newer “N” Line devices. Since 2018, Envision has supported IDIQ Task Orders including the replacement of Remote Terminal Units (RTU). Envision prepared and reviewed project management reports, provided document control within Procore, and provided project controls and budget management reports.
