National Parks Services Wastewater Treatment Processing System Replacement

National Parks Services Wastewater Treatment Processing System Replacement

Project Overview

Gateway National Recreation Area’s Sandy Hook Unit encompasses most of the Sandy Hook peninsula off the coast of central New Jersey. Due to the location, the existing treatment plant was inundated with floodwater during Superstorm Sandy in October 2012, causing significant damage to the existing mechanical and electrical equipment. Emergency repairs restored treatment, but critical plant components still remain below the required flood elevation. The plant also has reached the end of its lifecycle and required a full replacement with a new, packaged treatment system while operations at the old plant continued uninterrupted.

Envision performed CPM scheduling services for this environmentally sensitive project, developed of the baseline schedule, provided monthly updates, and evaluated the Time Impact Analysis to identify and mitigate potential delays.
