July 22, 2025 – Behind every successful project is a team that knows how to deliver. Under the leadership of Adam Baginski, PE, PMP, Vice President of Rail/Transit Services, Envision’s Rail and Transit Team (Team) offers deep industry expertise that spans field operations, engineering, and project controls. Their collective experience yields unmatched value for our clients.
Expanding over the years, the Team’s proven technical skill and knowledge have received recognition on some of the nation’s most complex mega projects, specifically along the Northeast Corridor (NEC). Combined with the firm’s reputation for highly specialized project controls, the Team’s acumen has driven a successful launch of an integrated business model resulting in a growing client portfolio. Few firms can offer this same level of innovative services tailored specifically to the unique demands of project stakeholders. From multifaceted phasing requirements to real-world field constraints, our firsthand knowledge translates into practical project plans valued by both passenger and freight rail owners.
In just three years, the Team has tripled in size as Mr. Baginski brought on key rail and transit project managers such as Thomas Dutcher, Alexander Reinsmith, Michael Breen, and Jamaal McClintock. To enhance the Team’s capabilities, Jeric Lobete, John Malaszecki, Charles Herbert, and Carol Martsolf joined under Baginski’s leadership to support project controls and planning efforts. With recent contract awards from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), New Jersey Transit (NJT), and SEPTA, the Team continues to execute with a deep-rooted passion for transportation.
Like many successful teams, this one mirrors the qualities of its leader. Prior to rising to the rank of Chief Engineer at Conrail Shared Assets, Mr. Baginski started his career in train service and operations working as a train conductor, locomotive engineer, yardmaster, and train dispatcher. This gave him a unique perspective on how to merge operational needs with engineering project delivery while facilitating effective communication.
“To succeed in this arena, you have to be there. Rail and Transit work happens out in the field, at the ballast level, in the shops, yards, and on the equipment. It’s not an industry you can learn from a book or in an office. You have to be out where the work is to understand what’s going on. Our entire team has received the same advice and has the same perspective, and it’s been a huge competitive advantage for us to know our subject matter deeply.” Baginski stated.
Illustrating this boots-on-the-ground philosophy, the Team includes seasoned rail professionals with direct industry experience. To enhance the development of new team members, Baginski promotes training and continuing education to build foundational knowledge. These programs offer certifications in key areas such as railroad operations and engineering, as well as track construction and rail welding techniques. With a complementary mix of young professionals and industry veterans, the group brings its well-rounded skillset to projects and programs across the nation.
“To do what’s right for your clients, you also have to do what’s right for your team. It’s important to nurture and grow talent, providing opportunities and a great work environment.” Baginski added.
Through a shared commitment to excellence, Envision’s Rail and Transit Team continues to redefine what’s possible in the transportation sector. Every success, during the planning, engineering, and construction phases, is the result of a deeply collaborative effort. United by a common purpose and strengthened by diverse expertise, the team remains steadfast in its mission to deliver meaningful, forward-thinking solutions. Their work doesn’t just move projects forward; it moves the industry forward.
